NTXShape: NTX to Shapefile Converter

This is only a summary; the full home page, including application binaries, project history, and source code, may be found at ntxshape.sourceforge.net.

NTXShape converts files from the CARIS NTX format into the widely supported ESRI shapefile format. NTX is one of the standard formats used to distribute digital maps in Atlantic Canada, and is also the former standard for electronic charts from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. The shapefile format was popularized by ArcView GIS. It is now supported by all ESRI software and by a large number of third-party GIS applications and data providers.

For those who wish to work with the source code, a development site is up and running at SourceForge.net. There are also discussion forums for both end users and developers.
