About the Author

This site is maintained by Bruce Dodson, an Enterprise Architect with Nova Scotia Power. Although his professional career is no longer focused on GIS, Bruce retains a keen interest in the field.

Bruce is the orginal author and maintainer of the NTXShape, AVPython, SHPTRANS projects hosted on SourceForge. Bruce has also made noteworthy contributions to other open source efforts. Within the GIS community, he is perhaps best known as a developer of award-winning Internet applications, such as the interactive map at Shipwreck Central.

Bruce maintains this site in his spare time; it is not funded by his employer, nor is it related directly to his work.
